Great product for the price!
At first, when I unpacked the product, I thought it was rather flimsy. However, it works very well and makes excellent grilled sandwiches.
The fact that the plates are removable makes cleaning them very easy.
I do wish that the manufacturer would indicate if the grilling plates are dishwasher safe, but other than that, I rank this product very highly
Worked for two months, then died.
I received one of these for Christmas. At first, I thought, wow, genius, you can switch out the plates depending upon what you want to make. So, right off the bat, I make waffles. Well, the plates never really heat well enough, so the waffles were pretty soggy. Sandwiches? Well, so-so. As long as you do not need very high heat. I also grilled a piece of chicken, now that worked out well.
I took it out to use it for a fourth time...Dead. Will not heat. The really sad thing is I threw out an old waffle maker, AND I threw out an old grill to save space. Now I have to re purchase each one. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything that has the words: "Continental Electric".
Doesn't do the job.
I picked this up at my local grocery store b/c I was looking for a waffle maker & thought the additional options would be a good thing. I made the sandwiches for my kids - they looked like someone sat on them, & the filling (cheese) ran all over, burning on the edges. I have tried waffles about 5 times, with different recipes. They take forever (and there's no beep to tell you when they're done), and always come out soggy. It seems as if the machine doesn't let out enough steam, there's always a lot of condensation inside. I didn't bother with the grill option. I'm so disappointed & now have to look for a decent waffle maker.
