Frigidaire FFHS2622M Energy Star 26 Cubic Foot Side-By-Side Refrigerator with Store-More Capacity and, Stainless Steel

Nice for the price.
We bought this side by side as part of a kitchen package because we needed to update our appliances to sell our home, and Frigidaire got better ratings than other appliance packages in the same price range.

Pros: It's energy star, which was our first priority. Fridge is spacious with spill proof shelves and adjustable door shelves. The 2 crisper drawers are roomy. Easy for one person to wheel out to clean behind it. Dispenses filtered water and ice and the filter is easy to get to.

Cons: Only one climate controlled crisper drawer - the other one has no climate control. No cheese/snack drawer. The freezer space is small because of the ice dispenser, which is noisy. Water from the filtered dispenser is lukewarm, not cold. The stainless front shows fingerprints and needs to be wiped constantly.

Despite the cons, the fridge is nice for the price we paid.

Serious problems
I just purchased this refrigerator as part of a whole-kitchen rehab and have had it for a little more than a month. In that time, the light in the freezer stopped working, the ice dispenser stopped working, the refrigerator started beeping every two minutes for the last four days with no visible indication of why or how to stop, and--far more seriously and most recently--the water for the ice maker did not shut off flooding my entire kitchen. I came home to water flowing from my freezer and had to find the shut off in my basement in order for it to stop. After a technician came out, he indicated that none of these problems were related to each other in any way (the beeping to the water shut-off, for example). The distributor is providing a full replacement, which I am hesitant about and will document my experience with that one after I've received it.

FrigiCrap
My repair man came out to look at my refrigerator and warned me never to buy a Frigidaire. He repairs them all day long and when it came time to fix my side by side, he told me to get rid of it and go with a different brand. Best Buy delivered an LG and told me the same thing. They pick up Frigidaires all the time.

Sani-Safe DDS-10-PCP 10" Diamond Sharpener

It's OK
Purchased this to sharpen my Dexter filet knives that I use in my commercial fishing business. This product works just fine and does what it says however I have found the "AccuSharp 001 Knife Sharpener" sold here on Amazon to be better, quicker and MUCH cheaper. You can by three of the Accusharp knife sharpeners for the price of just one of these. Anyway, this product does in fact do the job well and I don't really have anything negative to say about it.

Presto 85851 Stirring Popcorn Maker Cover and Serving Bowl

411 grams, not the 313 of the original bowl (sturdier!!)
I love the popcorn popper, but the bowl mine came with was flimsy and cracked within a week of buying it. But the popper makes great popcorn, and there was no reasonably priced alternative. What to do? Buy another bowl. Heck, buy two!

So I did, thinking that the new bowl was destined to destruct as quickly as the old one. But I was wrong. The difference? Different bowls.

I could feel the difference in weight when I picked this one up. But was my mind playing tricks on me? There was one way to check: put them on the digital kitchen scale. So I did.

This new bowl weighs 31% more than the old bowl--411 grams, instead of the 313 grams of the original bowl. That makes it much stronger, and much less likely to crack. Time of course will tell (and I will update this review as required).

Fifteen dollars is a lot for a replacement part on a cheap popcorn popper. But what you are getting is the bowl that should have come with the popper...

michael l.
I bought this popcorn popper because I liked the useability and am satisfied with how it functions. The bad is the thin cover/bowl cracked upon the first time of use. Then presto says that the cover/bowl has been discontinued (what's with that). Yes Amazon has them for $15.00 plus change and shipping.. if they are going to be, the (cover/bowl) that fragile I would hope the price would be less expensive... cause you know you're going to be buying several

Great heavier plastic replacement cover
The cover to our popcorn popper had cracked and eventually a chunk fell out which caused popcorn to escape during popping. I ordered this replacement and was pleased to find it is a much heavier plastic than the original. It will probably outlast the actual popper.

Viking Professional 5 -quart Stand Mixer, Stainless Gray

baker in Atlanta
I love this mixer!! I began researching the countertop mixers after reading the poor reviews on the KitchenAid. This mixer works wonderfully! I use spouted whole grain flour to make everything from cookies to bread; it is a very heavy and dense flour to work with, but no problem for this mixer at all. I even made sprouted whole grain oatmeal raisin chip cookies and it mixed all the ingreidents very quickly and perfectly. This receipe used to bog down my old hand mixer and I would end up mixing by hand...forever. This is a wonderful machine and I am so glad I bought it. FYI, it is heavy, but has wheels in the base that allow you to roll it accross the counter.

Awesome kitchen "shop tool"
I'm a guy used to good shop tools, and I bought this primarily to assist in making bread. I'm spoiled from my shop tools, and I roll my eyes and wince at the electric smell of an underpowered kitchen appliance. I concluded correctly that for a stand mixer, Viking was my only choice.

I researched Viking, KitchenAid, Cuisinart, and a few other brands. The stainless steel attachments can go in the dishwasher. There are no hidden plastic parts to fail. (Read all the reviews on competing products very carefully....) This mixer really, really isn't that heavy. (Try moving a drill press.) The 800 watts can handle bread dough without blinking. The design is simplicity itself, a tool one can be so proud of, one ends up playing with it every night. (Bread is like that.)

Go read half a dozen current bread books. They're rife with this concern that home stand mixers (cough! KitchenAid. cough!) can't handle bread without time outs. So why doesn't everyone buy a Viking? It...

Great Mixer!!!
I received this mixer as a Christmas present. I have been wanting a heavy duty stand mixer for years and my husband finally got the hint this year. I had been looking at the Kitchenaid mixers because honestly, I didn't know there was another brand of good quality stand mixer on the market. My husband actually did the research on the Viking mixer and made the decision based on the reviews he read. I have made cake batter, whipped cream (love the whipping attachment) and cookie dough so far and I am just loving it. I have been using a little hand mixer and was starting to believe I had gotten carpel tunnel from all the mixing. Now I just sit back and watch the stand mixer do all the work. Here are some of the pros and cons I believe should be noted about the Viking stand mixer:

PROS: 1. I learned that the Viking "working" parts are metal where the Kitchenaid "working" parts are now plastic. That was a huge selling point for this mixer!
2. I also like the dial for the...

Melitta 64012 Ready Set Joe One Cup Coffee Maker

LOVE IT
I love this little thing-very inexpensive and coffee tastes great! You just have to pour boiling water in and the coffee drips right into your cup. Perfect.

Great little single serve coffeemaker
This is just what I was looking for. Remember my friend had this like 25 years ago (made by Tupperware, I think). It makes a great cup of coffee and no waste! Simple, yet very effective, and a great price.

Great product, superb service
I started using this metode of coffee making 40 years ago, went through many other products, and finally came fully circle...this is the BEST!
As this was a Valentine's Day present, I expected a red unit, as depictred, but received a black one. When I alerted the seller, I was promptly sent a red oine, and was told to keep the black one to make up for the confusion. Now, THAT's service!

Kitchenaid Architect Series Blender

Not great...
Okay, I wouldn't tell someone not to buy it, but I would not recommend it either. I use mainly for smoothies and soups.

This blender always leaves lumps - pieces of banana or strawberries when I make a smoothy. If I use spinach leaves, it also fails to puree these very well - my very old blender would make a homogenous green liquid. Also doesn't do a great job pureeing soups.

I suspect the above might be due to the shape of the jar - previous one was tapered toward the botton which may have helped the blade draw the contents into it. This jar has vertical walls and a wide diameter.

This machine has a feature which I was not aware of until reading the manual - it doesn't work anyway. It claims the machine will start slowly before hitting the set speed. In fact, mine starts at full speed then slows and then gets back up to full speed - defeating the purpose of the gradual start.

The motor or bearing makes a harsh noise in addition to the...

Sunbeam FPSBPP7310-000 Theatre-Style Popcorn Maker, Red

Goodbye microwave popcorn!
This is the real deal. It's small and will look great on any countertop/bar top. We used Orville Redenbacher popping oil along with their kernels and within 3 minutes, our house was filled with the wonderful scent of movie style popcorn. The steam hits the glass and scent is carried away throughout your house.

It only accepts 1/4 cup of kernels at a time, so it does take a few sessions to really fill up the box...if that is what you are looking for.

The only downside we've noticed is that a lot of kernels come flying out of the kettle. Not sure why but we lose a very good portion of them when we pop.

Sunbeam Popcorn Popper
This machine is terrible. I've made & sold popcorn at theaters & home every Sunday night. Received this for Xmas as a gift, popped three batches and pulled the plug. The door entry is too small to put in the oil, even if you can hold the lid up, very awkward, same goes for putting in the popcorn, and then there was unpopped corn all over, even after the third batch. After only one batch went into the tray, unless you were very careful when you opened the door, some always spilled out on the counter. and to top it off, cleanup is a mess, taking way too long. I have boxed it back up and am taking to Good Will, a waste of gift money and my time. Another "Made in China" fiasco.

8 cups? Not so much!
I was so disappointed in this product, not only am I returning it, but it has inspired me to write this review...my very first review ever on Amazon. I also contacted the company to voice my disappointment. We were very excited about this popcorn maker. I bought it for my popcorn loving husband for his birthday. Our excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we saw how little popcorn this machine actually makes! We tried numerous attempts, and our grand total was 4 cups. 4 cups! That is barely enough for two people to share! We were so shocked that we actually started laughing at the absurdity of it all. We re-read the instruction manual, thinking we MUST be missing something...but, sadly no. 4 little cups. It would be so tedious to have to continue to refill and make the popcorn over and over again just to fill a bowl large enough for a family to share. The popcorn tasted great, but we will go back to popping it on the stove for free, and get our money back from this...

Sensio Bella 13563 4 Slot Pie Maker, Almond

Awesome mini pies in 10 minutes
This is a nifty appliance that makes pies in as little as ten minutes. The pies are pretty small though; they are smaller than the frozen pot pies sold by Marie Calender's, Banquet, or Stouffers. I did my first test run today using one of the pie filling recipes in the instruction manual. They have a recipe to make the pie dough as well, but I used some premade refrigerated dough from the grocery store and it worked great.

You need to roll out the dough and use the pastry cutters provided to cut out circles for the bottom and top of the pie. These dough pieces fit well in the given slots and it was very easy to assemble my pies. I set the timer for ten minutes, then checked on the pies, and they were done perfectly. They held up well and came out in one piece... though I did leave my dough slightly thicker than the recommended thickness because I was tired of rolling.

All in all, I'm very impressed with my pie maker. It works well and does exactly what it says it...

Sensio Bella Pie Maker
Makes good pies in a matter of minutes if you use premade pie crusts and have canned filling or frozen filling to use. Follow directions closely and consider covering top of pies with small rounds of parchment paper to keep them from browning too much. I plan on trying it for other things as well!

My husband thought pies were delicious and wanted me to make more very soon!

Love my pie maker
I received this item as a Christmas gift and love it. Pies only take 10-12 mins to make and they come out golden and piping hot. The filling has to be cooled before making pies. I can't wait to try all the different combos of pie I can make. It's very easy to clean and doesn't take up much counter space. I'm even gonna make lasagna cups. Can't wait!

Knife Sharpner

Tried and True
Have been using the Ecko knife sharpener for years. Wanted to get the same thing for my kids and a few friends. Checked literally every kitchen aid store, big box store kitchen department for this item and it just couldn't be found. I believe in this product, it works, and its economical. They don't make them like this anymore but want you to buy more expensive, less capable products. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a low priced, effective, knife sharpener.

Technivorm Moccamaster Coffee Brewer with Thermo Carafe

Okay, so the brew temperature and time are ideal; but is it worth the expense?
Please get your coffee and sit though this review, it's a bit long. So many people and places rate this as the best drip coffee maker because of the ideal brew temperature and brew drip time. I spent more time on this review because I want to justify the expense of this coffeemaker. The bottom line is that to get the really best tasting coffee out of this expensive coffee maker, you may have to spend just a bit of time fussing with it. This includes finding the right amount of coffee to add, using filtered room temperature water, and I found as some people suggest that if you leave the brew basket top off and stir the coffee grinds during brewing (at least for the first minute when the water has filled the basket and the grinds are swimming in water) , you get even better tasting coffee (better flavor extraction). Also, unless I buy another thermal carafe specifically the Thermos Nissan 51 Ounce Stainless Steel...

Unimpressed
Researched a number of coffee makers before deciding upon the MM based on online reviews. My single positive observation is the MM brings the water to an ideal brewing temperature of 200 deg F. Allow me to continue. I purchased the Thermo Carafe model as I do not like my coffee sitting on a heated burner and would typically transfer my coffee to a separate carafe after brewing. The problem with the MM carafe is the lid does not have a filler valve mechanism that allows the carafe to fill with the lid in place. If brewing only a half pot of coffee the carafe acts like a chimney allowing the heat to escape. The result is a warm cup of coffee. I'm constantly putting my cup of coffee in the microwave to get it to an enjoyable temperature. Next problem is the shower head, for lack of a better term. Its rectangular shape does not thoroughly and uniformly saturate the ground coffee. Open the lid on the brewing cone and the periphery of the coffee grounds are still dry. The water...

How could you possibly complain?
If you were to ask my husband about me he would say that 'she is cheap'
but that 'quality is priority.' I love great design, but I am not going to
be swayed by a design if it doesn't function or have longevity.

I honestly did NOT expect much from this machine. I don't expect much from
anything I buy anymore i.e. clothing is a big one. I am so used to purchasing
an item and find that the item doesn't live up to expectations.

SOOO, our coffee maker broke after 20 years i know a krups, I was lucky enough
to have had a neighbour whose coffee machine crapped out two months before ours.

If my husband thought I was anal, well our neighbour is joe researcher on all things---
all things potentially entering his home.

He bought a Capresso with a thermal carafe. We bought the technivorm with carafe.

We organized a 'coffee off' with third party participants etc.

Technivorm won hands down...

NuWave Twister 22091 7 Piece Multi-Purpose Blender

Blender bottom broke on second usage ...
I received these in with my Nuwave Blender for free, and since I didn't need them, tucked them away in my cupboard after using them once to chop some nuts.

This Christmas I took them out to chop nuts (again) - and did a quick check before I started. Immediately, the plastic that turned the blades shattered, making the blender unusable.

These are about two years old, but have ONLY been used two times, so I assume the plastic just ages. Do not recommend.

Waste of money and electricity
This piece of junk won't even chop up an apple. The blades are so dull, the apple pieces are just flung to the sides of the container and stick there. It'll mix a drink or chop solids mixed with liquid, but anything called a blender or chopper should do more than just that. There are far more useful standard and handheld blenders that cost the same or less.

not as advertised
I saw the advertisement for this in connection with the Nuwave infared oven pro, which I also bought, and thought it would come in handy. I have a small food processer I bought from(a discount store beginning with W)and I figured if I needed something bigger this would be ideal. The owner's manual doesn't have much information and I made ham salad(with boiled ham which is pretty soft)and egg salad and both took longer than the smaller processer I already had. Maybe I'm using the wrong blades, but as I said, the manual doesn't give the information I need for that. I also added the Miricle Whip in with the eggs and still had trouble. I wish they had better instruction included on the use. It works okay, but I still wish they would give me a little more information on the use of each blade. I've been cooking a while; so I know what I'm doing. Nuwave is to blame here. The seller was great and I can't somplain about them. Better check around if you want smooth working kitchen equipment...

Disney Mickey &Gang 5 in 1 Tasty Baker Waffle Maker,Bakes Pancake,Muffins, breads, cakes, and brownies

Great product
I just got this waffle iron the other day. I made waffles this morning and my kids lapped them up! I do wish they were bigger in size but to have all the characters on one is really great. The kids love picking out which ones they want and ate more then they normally would have eaten. I can't wait to try cooking other things in this like the brownies. I thought they cooked really fast if set on the high (4) setting. It is very easy to clean and love they include a little scoop to help put the batter into the character molds. Highly recommend for any Disney fan.

Ok- a little tricky to use
Overall it is an ok product. I would have preferred the characters to be bigger as it can be difficult to get them out. I have used it for pancakes and brownies. . .they come out ok, but it certainly takes a long time to make enough for my 3 kids. A number get broken in the process. If I had to do it again, I would skip it and try to getter the bigger Micky waffle iron.

American Originals Mini Burger Maker Grill

Ummm....OK under right circumstances.
I thought my college-age son would like this. I bought two. One for him and one for either my home or my nephew. I think this might be good if you like sliders and there is only one of you, or two that don't eat much. It also would be good if you are trying to do something fun for your "at-home" kids, and you do not want to eat with them. It does take a hot second of a learning curve to get the sizing of your meat right. What makes me not crazy about it is, I was making this for three, two men and me. I made twelve burgers and used twelve dinner rolls. That means I had to run the machine three X's! Not a huge deal, but time consuming, and easier to make a burger. Also, the clean up on this is not great, with all the grooves and such. I still think it is a neat idea, and would be "Fun" for kids, but as for a house with only adults now, and already overrun with "appliances on the countertop", this is a no go with me. My son is still taking his back to college with him to try...

Lello 4090 Gelato Pro Quart Ice Cream Maker

Under no circumstances buy this machine.
The machine worked fairly nicely for awhile--nothing particularly special about the texture of the ice cream or the ease of use. And then it just plain stopped working, about four months after we bought it. We called Amazon and they said after 90 days we had to go to the distributor. We called the distributor who said no, we had to go to the manufacturer. We called the manufacturer who said we had to send it in at our own expense. We did. They called and said the model number was wrong on the invoice. We tried to get a new invoice. We called them back to say we were working on it. The number was disconnected. There was no new number and no listing. We called Amazon. They called the number they have for the manufacturer and said that number is also disconnected. They don't hold out much hope that we will find our machine. So now we are out the 399 or whatever the machine cost plus the 65 bucks for the shipping and have nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Finally, the right texture and flavor froma great machine
I have been making ice cream in a Cuisinart macine for years but I wanted to regain my freezer space from the 2 canisters I had to keep ready.. I also wanted to make good gelato since I can't go to Italy all the time. This machine delivers the real experience for both. It also can chill wine in just a few minutes. I had first bought the Lussino 4080 by Musso at about twice the price. It was terrible. Too soft right out of the machine and full of ice crystals when put in the freezer for any amount of time. It didn't get firm, it became a rock. I returned it and got the Lello Gelato Pro instead. It is quieter, has a washable bowl, weighs much less and makes a larger amount of ice cream. It's no contest. This machine is great

You get what you pay for. This is great!
For a long time, I've had your run of the mill cuisinart ice cream maker with the bowl you had to put in the freezer overnight. I don't know about other people, but I don't know 24 hours in advance that I want to make ice cream. So I wound up not using it as much as I would have liked. Furthermore, I don't have a large freezer, so keeping it in there on a constant basis was not a good option.

After coming into some extra money, I decided to take the plunge and invest some money into a higher end ice cream maker. My wife thinks I'm excessive with researching before buying, but I believe that the time you put into that will let you make a better decision on what is the best product out there.

My original thought was to get the Musso. It's a nice looking machine (Stainless steel), and it received mostly good reivews. The downside is the machine is very large. I didn't want something that large in my kitchen.

I then came across the Lello Gelato Pro...

Toastess THP-432 Electric Single-Coil Cooking Range, White

So far, so good
I've had this hot plate for a couple of weeks as of this writing. I use it mainly for cooking rice. Initially, I was bothered by its temperature-cycling (resulting from the heating element's high power and low mass, and the imprecise nature of the low-cost temperature control system), but once I found the right setting, I found that it does a good job on rice, and more quickly than my previous hot plate, which kept a more even temperature but took forever to get up to temperature and cool down.

When it came time to clean beneath the heating element, I realized that the element cannot be lifted, perhaps to prevent it from being damaged by flexing. I found that a flimsy bottle brush can reach most of the area underneath the burner, and that a toothbrush can reach the rest.

I opened it up, and found that it appears to be quite well made inside. The temperature control is mechanical in nature, and it controls the temperature by causing a mechanical change to a...

Perfect for hookah coals!
My primary purpose for purchasing this item was to light hookah coals. The coils get hot very quickly and stay hot, since there is no auto shut-off feature like most other models. It has a plug to attach to the wall and has a red light when it is off (when the knob is at 0) and a green light when it is on (when the knob is at 1-5 or Max). I've lit coco nara's in about 5-10 minutes. This is insanely fast compared most methods of lighting coals in your own home.

I've not noticed the counter beneath the coils rising in temperature at all, but the white box is made of metal and does retain heat when the coils are on.

Works great for heating hookah charcoals
I'm sure this could be used for a lot of reasons. I use it to heat up the coconut charcoals for my hookah, and it works great for that. This range has a variable temperature control and the hottest setting gets REALLY hot.

The Ultimate Edge Model 5W Utility 5-Inch Oval Diamond Sharpening Steel

Great edge tune up
I ordered 2 Ultimate edges for friends since I already own myself. They used last ELk season and were thrilled with how well and quick edge was brought back to life when skinning animals. Brings edge back with just a few swipes. I've carried and used for years as go to knife tune up when skinning ELK or Deer. It is always in my pack with knives for caring for game. One caution clean knife edge of meat or lard before touch up do to diamond surface will plug up with crud. Soap, water & sponge cleans diamond surface very well. One note if the cook of the house uses the sharpener you may need to buy 2 if you want one in back pack. I keep one in knife drawer at home, better than regular steel.

Excellent Sharpener
This product was recommended by cutlery whole sale dealer based on it "high quality". Well, they were right, the quality of the finish is superb and it produces a great edge. The medium 600 grit produces results like a soft Arkansas oil stone. The finish it leaves is very similar to the Soft Arkansas stone when examined under a 10X loupe. The diamond cuts with very light strokes and doesn't care if it is sharpening softer carbon blades or the newer hard stainless blades of quality manufactures such as Case or Buck. I have used this sharpener for years with great results. It even sharpens the razor blades in my utility knives as fast as changing the blade. This is really a top quality product that really works.

Best Sharpener I have ever used
This little sharpener works awesome. Puts a good clean edge on any knife in no time. It seems to be magnitized to hold the metal residue for easy cleaning. I love this product

Chefman RJ04 Rotating Belgian Waffle Maker

Never worked
I purchased the wafflemaker thinking it would be a great Christmas morning treat. It turned on, started smoking and quit.... plus they won't return it. Now I have a non-working wafflemaker and no fun Christmas morning treat for my children.... One star is too many stars...

Deplorable
Bought this off groupon for $30. It turned on, but the batter didn't cook inside, leaving it very messy. Tried a second time, no avail either. It has to be poorly designed. Also seems the manufacturer is out of business. No active website or customer service. Supposedly has a 3 year warranty, but no way to reach CHEFMAN, LLC.. Deserves 0 stars in my opinion.

Christmas Gift
Received RJ03 as a Christmas gift. Wanted to make some waffles for breakfast on 12/28/2012. Plugged it in, it did not work! It did not heat up. Cheaply made, handle hard to rotate for flipping over. I do not recommend this product. Not worth the price.Chefman RJ04 Rotating Belgian Waffle Maker

Ninja Kitchen System Pulse Blender with Free Cookbook - Model BL205

GREAT! And I'll even tell you what came with it!
So it's a bit unclear what all comes with This system so I'll break it down here. 4 single serve cups with 4 lids and 1 blade attachment, the base, the 40oz main container, the main blades for that, a processing blade (plastic), the dough paddle (plastic), owner's guide, Guide to a healthy lifestyle, recipe book, registration card.
I was concerned that there wouldn't be the extra paddles and there would only be one single cup but NOPE! Came with all 4 and the paddles. The recipe book is AMAZING! Life-changing.
Seriously - my whole life is different because of this blender. It sounds ridiculous, but I used to dread blending (!) because I have never had a good experience! My previous blenders would conk out whenever I tried to blend anything more challenging than liquid. Blending chick peas to make hummos was exhausting - for me and the blender. Forget blending frozen fruit or ice. It was hard work, time-consuming, and a total drag. SO frustrating. And then the clean-up with my other blenders was an exercise in engineering - actually having to dismantle the whole thing to clean the blade.

The Ninja Pulse System is UNREAL. I can't believe it. This thing blends frozen bananas like it's nothing - and it's done in seconds. SECONDS!! The single-serve blender cups are a revelation, too. To be able to drink straight from the cup, saving me extra clean-up of a separate glass?? There is nothing about this blender that I do not LOVE. It's well-designed, EASY to clean (which makes me want to...

This product is brilliant!
I've got a very small kitchen where space is valuable. Appliances have to really be great to stay. I have seen some infomercials for some of the Ninja products, which looked intriguing (and almost too good to be true), but never bought them. I was browsing at a store, trying to find a cheap, small, food processor because I didn't have one and needed it for a recipe. When I saw the Ninja Pulse, it stood out from the pack because it fit the bill as a food processor but also seemed to cover several other things I was interested in: single-serve blending, and making dough. I've got an Oster single-serve blender (one that blends directly in a to-go cup) that doesn't work very well, and I've been wanting a stand-mixer so I could make pizza dough but don't have the space for it. The Ninja Pulse seemed like it had potential to do a better job than some of my existing appliances and also cut down on the number of appliances I need to keep around. So I bought it.

First off, as a...

Nostalgia HDT-600 Hot-Dog/Pop-up Toaster

Too many limitations
My teenager saw this toaster in a catalog and thought it sounded like an easy way to make tasty hot dogs, but he is sorely disappointed in its performance. The instructions state that the hot dogs should be room temperature when inserted into the toaster. Who keeps their meat at room temperature? If the hot dogs are cold when put in the toaster, the outside gets warm but the inside remains cold. Thus, they need to be toasted several times to get them warm all the way through, or else they need to be warmed up in the microwave first-what a pain! Setting the heat for the highest temperature does a better job of heating the hot dog, but also a better job of burning the edges of the bun. He has had problems with the regular size hot dogs expanding and being difficult to remove. Also, during one of the repeated toasting episodes, he pushed the stop button and it fell back into the machine, so now he must use a chopstick to activate the stop mechanism. I found this toaster online for...

Simply Brilliant
I took a chance buying this product. My husband LOVES hot dogs, so I figured he would get a kick out of this. The toasted hot dogs and buns are DELICIOUS. I highly recommend this product. When we tried it out, I told him I only wanted 1. After tasting it, we both had a second one.
Note- you can only use regular sized hot dogs and buns. You can't use the "bun sized" hot dogs or the longer buns, or any other type of sausages/brats. The hole is only big enough for a "regular" hot dog.

Our family loves this!
Bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband, and the whole family loved it! The only drawback was that the lower settings do not get hot dogs as well done as I like them.

It's too bad that they don't a larger hole or two on it for bratwurst and other sausages in addition to the hot dog holes. Maybe that will be on the version 2.0 of this machine someday. Computers are constantly upgraded, why not this gadget?

Farberware Chicken Rotisserie

Finally...
I've been looking for a long time for a simple gadget that can enter my standard oven and produce a decent rotisserie. I love this grilled skin... This device produces excellent chicken. Juicy. Crisp. Place some potato or other vegetable below the chicken so they can benefit from the dripping fat and you have a great meal. Cleaning is also fairly easy. Thanks Farberware for finally addressing the need.
A few comments (I'd rate the product 4.5 if this was possible): 1. Storage is a bit cumbersome due to the back handle. 2. After some cooking time, the device doesn't hold the chicken at a certain angle. I guess the chicken becomes too heavy. 3. No instruction were given regarding putting the device under the grill. I was concerned the knob could melt, but it held fine.

T-fal RK202EUS Balanced Living 600-Watt Cooked 3-in-1 Rice Cooker with Slow Cooking Function, Silver

Does its job, but uses plastic to cook with -- a deal breaker for me

Perfect for rice and fish
we like the ease of use to make both rice, vegetables and steamed fish. You can vary the amount of rice you need from 2-3 servings to as many as 8 or more.
The steamed fish with scallions and red pepper we did recently game out great for the first time we tried this recipe.
We are looking forward to make more healthy recipes using out T-Fal rice steamer./ cooker.

Awesome Multi-tasker!
I have not had a chance to use this item for anything other than its rice-cooking ability. As a rice cooker, I love it. It was easy to use, and the rice came out perfect. Sometimes when I use a rice cooker the rice is too dry, but that did not happen with this one.

I love that this product is also a slow cooker, and I need to find a time to try that function out. It's awesome that I was able to replace two appliances with this one.

Kalorik Carnival Popcorn Maker, Red

Fun, but in need of a few minor design updates
This popper saves me the 'guilties' of microwave popcorn. It is a bit smaller that I expected, and pops
less popcorn than I expected. Both of these expectations would not prevent me from buying again.
The chute that directs the popped kernels into your container needs to channel the output a little better.

Overall, an important part of preparing for movie night at home. Guests find it comment worthy.

Victorinox Ceramic Diamond Sharpener with Knife Stand

Works well
I only have one ceramic knife. It was nowhere near as sharp as advertised when I got it. I suppose I should have sent it back, but this sharpener proved its worth by sharpening that one knife. It's also supposed to work on metal knives, but since I have the regular diamond sharpener for those, I'm just saving it for the ceramic.

Farberware rotisserie motor P13-715

Perfect replacement
Last Thanksgiving my old motor died halfway through the cooking time for our turkey. I was so glad to find a part for my old Fiberware unit. I fit right on and works better then the old one.

Quite strong
I was very leary when I saw the Made in Mexico stamp but mounted the motor anyway. I tried to stall it with my hand and could not. This replacement motor is as strong or even stronger than the Farberware original. Quite happy with it.

arrived damaged but the box was ok
The motor I recieved was completely unacceptable. The plastic case was broken which also damaged the inside electonics so that the motor was not useable. Kinda strange becuase the shipping box was not damaged leading me to conclude the damage was present before packaging. This is unfortuante as I do need a replacement but I'm reluctant to try again.

SPT 2.1 Cubic Feet Energy Star Upright Freezer, Stainless

Keep looking
Noisy little freezer. Found one mounting bolt for the compressor missing, one not tighned down. Manual incorrect with settings of temps. This freezer runs almost constantly. Temp inside rises quickly when power is off. I question the amount of insulation used.

works as advertised
Freezer is great for frozen veggie and prepared food packs as well as those bags of frozen breads and rolls and stir-fry, etc., that take up so much space or that slide around when a freezer door is opened and you search for something.

Our older house has limited refrigerator space in the kitchen (unless we rip out some overhead cabinets). When we replaced an old fridge around May 1st, we decided to buy a "supplemental" freezer. After reading multiple reviews on multiple sites, we settled on this freezer. It was small enough and "light" enough for me to muscle it into the basement. It did take several hours to cool down after plugging it in (just like the instruction manual said it would), but we've been using it since May 1st and have had no problems. Because some reviewers of this size freezer (but not this brand) had problems with things staying cold, especially with frequent opening, we keep a pint-sized plastic bowl filled with ice cubes toward the front. So far,...

Philips Saeco RI9724/47 Incanto Deluxe Automatic Espresso Machine, Stainless Steel

Maintenance Free - Perfect every time!
I have had this machine for 3 years now and it has always worked flawlessly. The ventilate issue that people reference above has never been an issue for my machine...it has asked to be ventilated twice (each time after a cleaning) and each time I just open the steam valve and its done. I have never had a more effortless, maintenance-free espresso machine and I've owned many. This is simply an awesome machine that I can't live without! We've made 2,700 espresso shots virtually maintenance free, so its more than paid for itself. Highly recommended!

I couldn't ask for more.. 5 1/2 years later & 11,491 cups of perfect coffee todate
I have had this machine 18 + months without a single glitch.. I have had to decalcify it twice in that time. The last time I decalcified it I did not replace the water tank completely and it asked to ventilate it, I then noticed my error, seated the water tank, ventilated it and once again perfect coffee... (According to the machine it has made 2862 cups) Update: Coming up on 3yrs, now according to machine 5810 cups and still making perfect coffee.. Also after reading other reviews, I have never used the hand pump to ventilate the machine, I just open the hot water/steam valve per owners manual to ventilate the system.
June 2012. Update 9810 cups & still making perfect coffee. It has more than paid for itself. (it is getting a little grubby inside, but I can live with that.)
June 2013: Update 11,431 cups & still making perfect coffee. Decalicified it again about a month ago. Just changed the water filter and cleaned it, Lets see if I bought them at Starbucks at $3 a cup =...

beautiful looks and great coffee but very poor reliability
I have owned 4 espresso machines before this one, 2 manual (De Longhi), and 1 fully automatic (Saeco Odea Go). So I have a pretty good idea about what a good espresso should look like and what an espresso machine can or cannot do.

I got this Incanto Deluxe as a replacement for the Odea Go that died a sad death after 18 months of service (that's another review). On the positive side, the Incanto looks great, is very versatile and fully customizable. One can program almost anything from the temperature of the coffee, to the amount of coffee ground and the amount of water to be put through the ground coffee. The enclosure of the machine is metal (very rare nowadays when cheap plastic is ubiquitous) and the whole machine looks very high quality (unlike the Magnifica for instance which looks very plasticky) The features that convinced me to go for this machine also include: i) the ability to set the water hardness, ii) the automatic descaling cycle (the Odea Go descaling is a...

Black & Decker Fruit & Vegetable Juicer Extractor

An Excellent Choice and Affordable Too
I purchased this Black and Decker juicer a few years ago and it is still working fine. I feel it is one of the most effective juicers and the price is right! Most juicers are horribly expensive and difficult to clean. This juicer comes apart easily and all the pieces can be washed in the dishwasher.

I find this juicer works best when you cut pieces of fruit and vegetables fairly small. After a few times you learn how small to cut the produce. Like a cucumber must be cut in fourths and apples must be cut into small slices.

If there are any problems with this juicer it is that it vibrates quite a bit while being used. It seems better if you put a cloth/rag under the juicer. This helps to keep the cup collecting the juices stable. It also collects drips and keeps the counter clean.

I have used juicers in the past which were much more difficult to clean so I think that is something to think about especially if you are going to go on a juice fast or use the...

Excellent for the price
We owned this juicer for the past 4 years. In the beginning we used it maybe once a week but last year we used it every day and it has worked excellently. We mainly juiced carrots but did everything from the leafy vegetable to hard fruits. Just recently we tried to use it and it won't turn on. This juicer was more than worth the price. The only complaint I had while using int was that there was one small place, near the juice spout that was hard to clean out. Overall this was worth the money.

Lasted 1 Hr.
Motor smoked after the first hour of use. I did a few apples and kiwis, and a bag of carrots.

Also, you have to cut carrots in half, as the intake is small.

Not even going to bother RMAing it, as I already tossed the box out. Just going to grab a sturdier model at the local store.

Miele CVA4066SS 24 Built-in Whole Coffee Bean System with Plumbed-In Water Connection

Exceeded Expectations
The machine makes great coffee. I expected it to be very good, but it exceeds expectations. It is better than "that big chain shop" and I am a big fan of their coffee. (I am sure someone will jump in and say that the coffee at XYZ local coffee house is going to be much better than the big chain, and I agree with that; I am just providing a point of reference everyone will likely know). And yes, this machine's coffee compares favorably with the local house.

Hook-up of the plumbed-in water supply was a breeze, but I have done a lot of plumbing work. You will either needs skills with running copper pipe or PEX tubing if you want to install it yourself. Or hire a plumber.

Miele makes a couple of non-plumbed versions if you don't want a permanent installation. However, these types of machines are meant to be built-in to cabinetry so my advice is to buy the plumbed in version to eliminate the hassle of having to remove the water tank and manually fill it every...

Great machine - pricey repairs - fragile
We re-did our kitchen and created a cabinet expressly (no pun intended) for the a Miele system (old version - 220 V). It lasted about 6 years and required repairs about every two years, usually for something that required it to be yanked out of the wall and carted to the shop for a week or two. The final straw was the failure of the grinder. Repairs would have cost nearly as much as a new machine.

Since we already had a device-specific cabinet, we searched around and found a demo machine for about half the price of a new machine. It has lasted 4 years and has required repairs on the same schedule as the original. Yesterday we were greeted with a clunking sound when we asked for a cup of coffee...the gearbox had failed. The machine is a goner.

We drink a lot of coffee, at least 20 cups a day between the two of us. While that's a lot, I would expect better at this price range.

We are going to have the former Miele-specific cabinet refitted so we can move...

Machine review day 1
the product ordered took a while to arrive, longer than expected. It arrived the day I left town . the delivery company supplier used was professional on the surface with email shipment notices and such but the delivery appointment took some time to schedule. They also delivered in afternoon instead of morning - driver could not handle machine alone, i had to help unload and put in my car to get to the door (long drivewaY) , they would not deliver to door.

Machine installed one week ago - instructions were a little vague in how to start up, called technical service who helped to walk me through setup. After descaling machine (did not say i had to do that, about 10 minutes) proceeded to coffee setup/hot water.

At first a couple drops of water came out. Coffee grounds were dispensed but no coffee. Tried 3 times. Nothing. Then tried hot water, Nothing - Remove machine from cabinet and found that the machine had internal leak and was leaking water internally all...

Cookinex Kung Fu Master Electric Juice Extractor

Cheap
Used less than 10x and the motor blew. The design was good though just a cheaply made product. I purchased the Cuisinart CJE-1000 and it works like a champ and will last.

Juice without getting milked
I thoroughly enjoy my Kung Fu Master Juice Extractor, purchased through Just Deals. A local news station did an impressive demo one morning, and it seemed easy enough for me. The juicer had good reviews and a good price. I usually don't trust online purchases outside of Amazon, but I decided to take a chance.

The juicer arrived as promised, but it sat in a box for months before I used it for the first time almost 2 months ago. After seeing the Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead documentary video, I was inspired to begin juicing. I went on a 12-day juice fast to improve my health (I stopped to celebrate my birthday with free meals and desserts thanks to kind friends and generous restaurants... LOL) In that short time, my iron levels increased without medicine, and my blood pressure has reduced substantially.

Back to the juicer... I'm glad I started with this easy-to-use juicer. Assembly is simple, operation is safe, and clean up is a breeze. I have juiced various greens,...

Great Juicer
I am new to juicing and didn't want to make a huge investment to start off. I thought the price was very reasonable and the juicer works great so far. It was easy to use, clean up is not bad (I find washing parts right away helps tremendously). The juicer works well and quickly.

Two Step Knife Sharpener - Smith's Sharpeners

Works well for the price
This is a basic easy-to-use sharpener. I haven't had much use for the tungsten side of the sharpener as I don't abuse my blades but the ceramic side is excellent for putting a fine edge back on a slightly dulled knife.

I would recommend using this on a hard surface. Otherwise, be extremely careful in how you hold the sharpener when using it. It takes some pressure to use the sharpener and the blade will slide downward when coming out of the sharpening 'V'. If you are holding it with your fingers on the exit side... you will get cut.

For a couple of bucks, I wasn't expecting a diamond sharpener and I feel like I got my value after a couple months of use.

KitchenAid KFP740CR 9-Cup Food Processor with 4-Cup Mini Bowl, Chrome

Excellent processor for the money
Boy, am I glad I bought this processor. It is well designed and well made. You definitely get what you pay for.

The base unit is big (10" x 8" x 6" high) and heavy. But it is amazingly quiet. It has large rubber feet which prevent the unit from moving or vibrating on the counter. The motor has enough torque to mix or rip through anything dropped in it.

The work bowl is wider than the previous 9 cup model (7") which makes it very easy to work inside and remove the contents. Another nice touch is the bowl cover which fits over both the inside and outside rim of the work bowl to prevent spillage. The large food pusher is also a measuring cup. Many of the 12 cup accessories fit this processor, too.

The mini bowl accessory is useful because it easily drops into the large work bowl and then quickly chops small amounts of ingredients. The processor comes with the mini bowl & blade, dough blade, 2 mm slicing disk, 4 mm shredding disk and spatula. The booklet...

Had for a year now - replacing!
Great quality product, but has a major design flaw also mentioned by previous reviewers. It is bothering me so much that I am going to get another make of processor.
When the blade and bowl are assembled, the inside lip (under the blade cover) is not high enough. Therefore everything you process (even small amounts) is squeezed up and under the lip and under the blade threads by the centrifugal force.
This needs intensive cleaning as I have discovered - I use mine for many things but mainly meat for meatballs - and cleaning out the raw meat to prevent future contamination is a nightmare. I have to use a toothpick. If you leave it it will rot and be a safety concern, as it will mix in whatever you process next. As I don't wish to spend such time cleaning due to a design flaw, or worse, causing food poisoning to friends and family - I am going to order a new processor. This should be top spec - love how it runs, but is a liability.

Elegant, huge time saver and fun to use, only paid $110.oo
Had mine for a week. Already made salsa twice, tabulee, apple crisp. Saves tons of time. Looks great on the counter so it's convenient to use. The 2 MM slicing disk is very thin. eg think fingernail thin. But the apple crisp tasted good that way actually. Parsly for tabulee works great if you shove/pack it in the food chute and put in the slicing blade. It chops it actually in just the right sizes. When I used the chopping/all purpose blade this didn't work without making it more of a green goo. The slicing blade is great for parsley. I used the allpurpose/choping blade for the tomatoes and onions and works great. The 4 cup work bowl is very convenient and the 9 cup bowl stays clean. minibowl can't use the slicing/shredding discs. This machine is quiet, quality, top notch at whatever it does. Read directions carefully. It's not a blender, eg. if very thin batter, only fill 1/3 to 1/2, if liquid only fill to line which is probably only a cup or less, if thicker batter,...

Lasko Cyclonic Digital Ceramic Heater

Good buy for the money.
I purchased this heater from Sam's Club for $59.98. I also purchased the 1 year replacement plan for $5.72, just in case. I bought this heater as a secondary heat, our primary source being a wood stove. So far, I am very pleased with the amount of heat that is produced. It did take a while (couple hours) for our living room to heat up, but once it did, maintaining the heat seems to be no problem. I think for the money, this is fairly good product.

itss ok...
We use this heater as our main source of heat. During the winter we freeze and it won't heat the room over 57 degrees. We have to use a separate space heater in addition to this one to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Our small heater puts out more heat and keeps our room warmer then this one does.

Great heating unit for rennovated garage
This is a great heating unit. We use it in an office that was converted from a garage. The room does not have duct work from the house and it is very cold without the heat. This unit heats the entire room which was a two car garage so it is a very large space with a high ceiling, larger than more room sizes.

The unit is able to turn off and on automatically and has a very good thermostat that keeps the room warm all day. I usually turn it off completely in the evening and it is pretty quick in the morning to heat up. We live in the South so it is warmer. It might not do as well in the cold Northern spots.

Rival CF151WD Chef's Fry Cool Wall Deep Fryer

Good, except doesn't get hot enough.
I like all the features of this deep fryer, except for one major detail. It doesn't get hot enough! Granted, it only falls short by 10 degrees (365¡ instead of it's 375¡ setting), but when it comes time to fry Chinese rice sticks, for example, they just don't get done. French fries come okay though, so I guess how it'll suit you depends on what you'll be using it for.

Couple the thermostat problem with the fact that it's a bit on the small size, and you may be even less satisfied. If, for example, you load it to capacity with frozen fries, expect the temperature to drop dramatically. Plus, even when it's loaded to capacity, it barely cooks enough food for my family of four (two of which are two young girls who eat like fleas.)

I suppose I'd recommend it for serving one or two people at a time, and only if it's used for less peculiar types of foods than rice sticks.

Great fryer for 1-2 people
This fryer does the job well for the money. Odor is kept to a minimum while cooking with the filters. The basket that comes with the unit is quite usefull for frozen foods. Don't use the basket for fresh battered non-frozen food though. It sticks. The lid closes tight to keep the oil fresh and the lid is removable to make cleaning easier. It would have got 5 stars if the oil pan was removable. Not being able to hose the thing out makes it tough to clean regardless of a non stick coating. It's still easier to clean than a "burnt on" frying pan.

TEMPERATURE LIES
I was excited about this little deep fryer when I first got it, but I soon realized that it doesn't get hot enough. At first it was just a little off, but after repeated use (a few times)I found that it doesn't get any hotter than 300 degrees! Much less than the stated 375 degrees. So unless you want to have greasy boiled food, do not buy this product.

Touch Temp Digital Waterbed Heater - Full Watt (for Hardsides)

Unfortunate
I purchased this heater about 7 months ago set up was easy how ever it never stopped blinking even when it hit temp you could lower the temp setting and it would stop so you could see what the temp was but then it would start blinking again. It seemed to be working well until this week went to go to bed last night ...Humm the bed feels pretty cold so checked the temp 80 gurrrr my last heater worked for 12 years so the fact that I have to replace this one already is very annoying. I would not recommend this heater.

2 failed in 6 months
I purchased this and it was easy to install and waterbedoutlet had a good video on installing.
The problem I have had is both units start heating but never shut off. The first one failed after 3 months and I got a used replacement. The second one has just started to fail and I am trying to get this one replaced. And I had to pay $16 shipping and handling to get it replaced.

I would not suggest this waterbed heater to anyone. At the rate of failure and shipping and handling it will double its cost in 1 year alone.

DO NOT BUY!
My heater blinks and never seems to shut off and it has a hum to it. I set it and one day it feels cold and the next day hot. It is a mess, I need a new one!!

Metrokane VIP Vertical Rabbit Red

Dont buy this
The parent company Metrokane advertises a 5 yr warranty. BUT they make you pay exorbitant prices for shipping the new item to you. I had mine about 2 years and a little tiny plastic piece broke. They could not ship me a replacement piece but said they would send a whole new item for $10. Even amazon and ebay don't charge that much shipping. I love the opener but customer service is BAD!
This is no reflection on any of the sellers or on amazon. It is a manufacturer warranty.

Poor Product, Excellent Customer Service
I purchased this wine opener from Wine Cooler Direct rather than Amazon. I was extremely disappointed with this product. For $72 I expected a high quality opener that felt solid and worked smoothly. Instead I received one that felt cheap and poorly made. After holding it in my hands I would not pay $25 for it, let alone $72. On the positive side, when I called Wine Cooler Direct they gave me an immediate refund and said I could keep the opener rather than send it back. If you are thinking about purchasing this product I strongly urge you to go to a store where you can see and feel it in person before buying it.

Update: After using this opener for a few months I have concluded that my initial review (one star) was a bit harsh. It actually works fine. It is not the same quality as the Screwpull Advanced Lever Model ($180 on Amazon), but is in a much lower price category. I still think that it is overpriced and would not recommend it to a friend.

Farberware FES4B 4-Bar Steam 4-Cup Espresso Machine

Fabulous machine for the price!
I bought this machine a year ago and this was my first espresso machine. It has been wonderful; I have had no problems with it. Just make sure you clean the milk off of the wand after you use it and you should have no problems with the steamer. A great machine at a great price!

Compact Great Coffee Broke after 4 months
We really enjoyed this compact sleek machine. Made wonderful coffees. I even bought one as a gift because I liked it so much. However, after 4 months we heard a "pop" and something must have broken inside the machine. Too Bad. We plan to contact the company this week and will follow up and let you know how the issue was dealt.
On another note, check out your local "Walgreen" becuase they sell a white $25 coffee maker. the advantage is that you can return it there (without paying for shippment) especially if it breaks after 4 months.

Follow up- There is a one year warranty. Therefore, we just need to send a sticker from the bottom of the machine + receipt + a shipping and handling fee of $7.50 and a new machine will be sent to us. It is a bit disheartening that because of a problem with the 4 month old machine we have to pay 1/3 of its price, but it's better than nothing.. Therefore I can change the rating of the machine to 4 stars..

Great
The Espresso maker is great, makes wonderful espresso coffee. Doesn't take long for the espresso maker to warm up and start making the espresso. Sleek design makes it really easy to clean, and great for its price.

My wife and I purchased the Crane baby humidifier (frog) to place in our newborn daughters room shortly after she was born in October of 2011. We used it through the winter of 2011-2012 with no issue, and did not operate it again until this past November/December 2012. Sometime in late January 2013, the unit began to make a strange, straining sound. It still produced cool mist vapor, but we were concerned about fire risk from a strained motor, so we turn it off and called the manufacturer. The Crane representative informed me that they offer a one-year full replacement warranty with receipt and proof of purchase. Since we were outside of the one-year window (even though we only operated the unit for about 7 or 8 months in cumulative time), we did not qualify for the full replacement warranty. When I asked what Crane COULD do for us, the representative presented an "OUT OF WARRANTY REPLACEMENT" offer, which is a $20 discount toward your next Crane humidifier purchased through...

Bionaire BCH3620-U Tower Ceramic Heater with Digital Control

Warm and toasty, but occasionally inaccurate
I bought this heater at Costco for $43 last week. It is quiet, well put together, and really warms the room. My only complaint is that the digital thermostat frequently displays an inaccurate temperature -- like 74 when it's actually 69 degrees. I know because I put a second thermostat next to the unit just to see. While this is annoying (especially when you have to get out of bed into a cold room rather than a nice and warm room), I'm pretty happy overall, and have just learned to set the target temperature higher (like 76 degrees) to compensate.

Bionaire Ceramic Heater
We bought 2 of these ceramic heaters; 1 is perfect and works well, the other 1 has made noise since we got it (although it does heat well) and when we called Bionaire to try to get it repaired or replaced, we were told we couldn't do so. We don't think we'd buy these heaters again for that reason, although they do work pretty well. We don't feel the customer service and followup is good on these products.

Best Heater I've Ever Owned
I've been using small heaters like this for 15 years, and this one is by far the best. I see that one guy on here got a defective unit, and that's a bummer. He should have returned it and gotten a new one, because this thing is fantastic. It's quieter than any other heater I've owned, and it works perfectly all the time. I've been using this heater for a year now, and have had no problems whatsoever.

The remote control is what makes this an instant favorite for me. Usually when I wake up in the morning I'm really cold and don't want to get out of bed. No problem... I just reach for the remote control and turn the heater on high. Within minutes it's warm, and I'm ready to roll out of bed.

If you're looking for a small heater for a single room (or studio apt), then (in my opinion) this is by far the best choice.
